What will your days be like at Logibec?

We are transitioning our existing web application, and our legacy client-server application, to modern web technologies. We are looking for someone who is passionate about new web-based patterns, practices, and technologies, and has prior experience working in desktop applications using software like Java, Delphi, or similar. This technology shift aligns with other products in the Logibec ecosystem and could offer opportunities to work on other projects or technology initiatives for the right candidate.

How will your contributions be showcased?

• Collaborate with infrastructure, integration, and product team members;
• Participate in software design/code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards and guidelines;
• Perform unit tests in a continuous integration environment and collaborate with the Quality Assurance team;
• Be an active and collaborative member of the agile process;
• Support legacy application issues if they arise.
• Produce quality code based on current best practices and design patterns;
• Troubleshoot and resolve business logic, UI defects, and UX issues;
• Participate in the technical design and implementation of feature-rich, highly interactive, and responsive user interfaces;
• Participate in the technical design and implementation of the physical database, business objects, and application services;

Qualifications

What you will bring to Logibec to succeed in the role:

• A willingness to learn, take initiative, and outperform;
• Experience with Entity Framework and LINQ would be an asset.
• Experience building highly performant, scalable, and configurable applications in a SPA architecture;
• Experience using SQL Server and/or Azure SQL;
• Ability to implement a UI to conform to similar workflows found in legacy applications;
• Experience with source control repositories (Git);
• Experience using RESTful web services;
• Solid knowledge and understanding of methods, standards, and best practices with respect to web application development;
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or Software Engineering, or a college diploma with relevant experience;
• Experience using C#;
• Ability to review existing code and derive the business needs;
• Prior experience working in Windows Forms applications;
• Experience with ASP.NET;
• Experience with various JavaScript libraries like Node.js and JQuery;
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with prior experience in desktop application development;
• Prior experience with AODA / WCAG requirements would be an asset;
• Experience with Angular or similar JavaScript frameworks;
