Position Overview

The Analyst, Online financing receives and processes virtual loan application requests sent to the Virtual Bank. The incumbent quickly analyzes and interprets client information to determine their eligibility, in order to either proceed with next steps or decline the request.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

• Maintain an effective diary system for all files and produce accurate monthly reports.
• Conduct preliminary investigation and due diligence activities for loan applications. Decline proposals that are not within BDC online process parameters, policies and procedures in a timely and efficient manner. Move the other loan applications quickly into next steps by performing credit bureau reviews and ensuring OSFI and environment requirements are properly assessed and documented.
• Maintain good relationships with internal and external partners to foster teamwork and the pursuit of common objectives.
• Enter client/prospect data into the various BDC applications, ensuring high quality and accuracy.
• Provide support to other Operations Support teams when required
• Prepare letters to clients (e.g., letter of offer, letter of amendment, etc.) ensuring that all necessary information and document have been entered in the systems, coordinate required signatures on forms and execute follow-ups for completion.
• Keep abreast of changes to policies, procedures and detail processes and trends in credit and regulatory issues that may have an impact on BDC so as to be able to promote BDC products and services.
• Support BDC strategies to increase online financing and client portal usage.(i.e participate in pilot initiatives for ICT and CG loan financing)
• Review incoming loan application packages for completeness ensuring an efficient file management in accordance with BDC online process requirements. Support team by managing the pipeline for all loan applications and any other administrative tasks.
• Provide excellent customer experience in the resolution of basic client issues and escalate complex issues to senior team members.

What We Are Looking For

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong business acumen and client focus
• Aptitude for learning new software
• Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset
• Team player with a thorough understanding of the dynamics of the small business environment
• Excellent analytical skills
• 1 to 3 yrs of experience in a related field
• Bachelor degree in commerce or related field
• Good time management and priority setting skills in order to meet critical deadlines
• Detailed oriented and organized
