Role


This role is responsible for creating, maintaining, and generating all aspects of our weekly and monthly financial reports. Working closely with senior leadership, must identify errors, issues, and abnormalities reported. The role is the critical link between Sysco sites recording their financial information, and that information getting into the hands of leadership in an easy to consume format, consistently, reliably, and on time.


Role Responsibilities
  • Provide backup for other department Analysts.
  • Assist with Annual Operating Plan.
  • Monthly Cost-out reporting
  • Develop drill down analytics on components of the P&L.
  • Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
  • Assist with standardizing and supporting site-level analytical tools.
  • Weekly KPI Reporting;
  • Manage and run all Financial reporting, including:
  • Report with narrative and data exhibits (sales & margin) and Market Reviews;
  • Monthly Forecast cycles;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
  • Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
  • Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
  • Record, track, and report monthly goals/results for incentives, bonus objectives.
  • Monthly Financial results for Sysco Canada;


Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About You)


  • Experience with Cognos, Tableau, or similar front-end reporting tool
  • Full knowledge of each component in basic financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet)
  • Minimum three to five (3-5+) years of job related experience in financial or business analytics role.
  • Expert knowledge of financial and General Ledger (GL) reporting, or similar financial reporting system
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analysis, or related field.
  • Certified accounting designation preferred.
