POSITION:Accounts Payable Administrator (Comp. # 2023-85)

LOCATION:Corporate Services – Finance, Oxford County Administration Building, Woodstock, ON

EMPLOYMENT STATUS:Permanent Full-time

REPORTING TO:Supervisor of Accounting

UNION AFFILIATION:Non-Union

WAGE RANGE:$27.29/hr - $34.11/hr ($49,667.00-$62,080.00 annually)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides accurate and timely recording of accounts payable transactions into the financial system ensuring compliance with County policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Committed to quality work, attention to detail, with strong organizational skills and a high ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong decision-making abilities and judgement skills.
• Understanding of general accounting practices, policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Post-secondary education in accounting or a related discipline.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• A sound base of computer software packages such as Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office to produce reports that are importable and exportable to and from the accounting system.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
• Demonstrated experience working in an accounting position, preferably in a complex or public sector environment.
