Summer Student – Administrative Assistant Jobs

Performing minor building maintenance/repairs that require the ability to safely use a variety of tools/equipment

Move, deliver, assemble and record inventory records of tools and supplies associated with the AME program

Maintain inventory of tools and supplies

Provide spot cleaning services within buildings and their associated ground

Patrol assigned areas to ensure personal, building, and equipment security

Receive, unpack, and store incoming tools and equipment

Create and maintain efficient and detailed electronic and paper file management processes

Extensive knowledge of the functions, purposes and programs of SIIT to answer and direct routine inquires and promptly respond as required

Carry out quality control of data entry

Answer the phone in accordance with SIIT standards; transfer calls where appropriate and take messages as required

Maintain the filing systems of the department

Receive, sort, and send mail, courier packages, and faxes

Experience with Microsoft Office an asset

Empowering People with Developmental Disabilities

Enrollment in an administrative or accounting program an asset

Willing to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check

Must be enrolled in a full-time post secondary Business or marketing related program

Preference will be given to candidates who live on the North Shore.

Must be physically fit and able to roll waste bins

Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills

Enrolled in post-secondary education in related field

Exceptional communications and written skills

Attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Basic knowledge of Google Analytics and major social media advertising platforms

Maintain supporter records for digital fundraising activities in donor database, ensuring data accuracy.

Must be a student, currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution for the fall intake;

Must be able to operate power tools, with minimal instruction;

Must be comfortable to operate a small tractor and attachments; and

Hold a minimum of a valid Class 7 Drivers' License.
