Reporting Accountant Jobs

Assisting the CFO/VP Finance in maintaining relevant financial records for Management, Board of Directors, and External Stakeholders.

Preparing and analysing periodic financial forecasts for management review including balance sheet, earnings statements, and cash flows

Strong (8+ years) finance or accounting experience

Post-secondary qualifications resulting in a diploma or a degree in commerce or business with a focus on accounting

Experience with financial modeling and forecasting

Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. GAAP and IFRS

Exposure to a SOX compliant environment with strong knowledge of internal controls

Knowledge of auditing practices and principles

3+ years of industry or firm experience (Big 4 preferred).

Residential real estate experience preferred.

Knowledge of IFRS accounting and financial reporting.

Knowledge of US GAAP accounting would be an asset

SOX experience would be an asset

Experience with consolidation and elimination entries preferred.

Manage and coordinate the annual international statutory audits and financial preparation process

Ensure international finance teams based outside of Vancouver follow standard policies and procedures

4+ years of professional work experience, preferably related to financial reporting.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

Experience with Spreadsheet Server, Hyperion, Oracle eBS, Shareworks, and/or Wdesk an asset.

Minimum requirement, diploma or degree in Business, data analytics, a related field or equivalent experience

Coordinate with internal and external business stakeholders to understand and coordinate reporting requirements

Prepare reports based on various internal and/or external requirements

Collaborate with business stakeholders to compile qualitative and quantitative data to meet reporting requirements

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop learner and industry surveys that support data and reporting requirements

Minimum of 2-5 years' experience developing and preparing complex reporting, preferably in a funding or grant environment

You have at least 1 year of experience in the public accounting industry, with exposure to a variety of industries

You have a strong desire to further develop your knowledge in accounting across different industries

You display strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

Prepare year-end engagements and tax returns for clients in a variety of industries with efficiency and accuracy

Conduct Notice to Reader engagements, prepare accounting and tax returns, and produce financial statements per regulatory standards

Establish positive relationships with clients and respond effectively to their requests and feedback

3-5 years of relevant accounting work experience

Experience with JD Edwards, TM1, Power BI and/or Blackline considered an asset

Supporting the year-end external audit and other compliance requirements
