Mechanical Maintenance Planner Jobs

Senior level, typically 7+ years of experience.

Ensures the successful ongoing operations and maintenance of facilities.

Responsible for scheduling all maintenance work at production and support facilities.

Ensures the daily work status is captures and next day’s schedule is reviewed and communicated with both operations and maintenance personnel.

Manage maintenance data collection and information gathering by analyzing data for improvements to equipment.

Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a Maintenance Planning function

Implement effective maintenance planning methods to maximize operating efficiency while maintaining Food Quality Standards.

Schedule, track, and evaluate preventative maintenance to plant equipment.

Participate in the implementation of preventative maintenance applications and software.

Establish, maintain, and improve the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling business flow process.

Good project management skills (set priorities, handle multiple projects)

Post-secondary education with technical background – electrical, PLC’s or mechanical

3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Good knowledge of tools, machining processes, and manufacturing processes.

Strong knowledge and familiarity of mechanical and electrical maintenance spare parts.

Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and computerized maintenance system,

Experienced with Computerized Materials Management Systems (SAP Blueprint) & other work platforms such as Primavera, Microsoft Office – Excel, Word etc.

10 years’ experience as a Technologist or Journeyman within applicable discipline.

Skill / Expert in codes and standards, practices, and technologies within specific discipline.

Experience in Turnaround and Routine Maintenance Planning

Experience with turbines and Compressors considered an asset

Can manage evolving priorities and deliver on multiple commitments in a timely manner.

Strong analytical skills and detailed oriented; strong organization skills with sound prioritizing abilities.

Professional training or relevant post secondary education

At least 3-5 years experience in a maintenance planning department

Previous experience in a unionized food, beverage or packaged goods industry is a definite asset

Solid computer skills including MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook), exposure to Oracle systems is an asset.

Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task

Education, Experience And Skill Requirements

Ensures that contractors meet safety requirements, through orientation and site supervision.

Experience working and supervising in a union environment is an asset.

Strong working knowledge of SAP maintenance software, MS Office, and MS Project.

Maintains the SAP PM system and generates work orders; Initiates and tracks work orders.

Creates maintenances schedules; establishes work sequences and lead time to complete major inspections and repairs.

Previous project management experience is desired.

Strong analytical, data management and problem-solving skills.

Plan, schedule, and resource MoC (Management of Change) execution, plant shutdown/turnarounds and major installations/upgrades.

Education: Degree or diploma in a technical field or possess a valid Inter-Provincial trade certification in a related field.

Excellent relationship building skills, with experience advising and collaborating with various teams.

Be familiar with the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and associated responsibilities within the plan.

Extensive experience in heavy industrial equipment repair; experience in inspection and welding an asset.

Experience with Computerized Maintenance System (SAP)

A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in a heavy industry. Cement experience an asset.

Knowledge of problem solving techniques (i.e. Pareto Analysis, Root Cause Failure Analysis, etc.)

Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to interact with plant personnel.

Works with Electrical Coordinator; Production Managers and Supervisors; Process/Quality department; and Projects team

Mechanical Engineering Technologist, or equivalent field experience

Extensive experience in heavy equipment repair; experience in inspection is an asset

Proven experience in planning major work and plant shutdowns using computer software

Experience with Computerized Mechanical Maintenance System (SAP)

Change management experience in managing change through large stakeholder groups is also appreciated

Utilize Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) tools and processes to develop risk-based asset management strategies for new facilities and/or major expansions

Support the development and reporting of M&R KPI's and dashboards including the management of master data change request notifications and tasks

Knowledge and experience with safe work practices in oil and gas production accompanied by a superior safety attitude

· Manages all service providers & associated budgets, and negotiation of contracts

· Manage and schedule maintenance activities such as inspections, calibrations and equipment PMs

· Certification or strong aptitude in a related field e.g. millwright, electrician
