Big Data Platform Engineering Specialist Jobs

Minimum of 7+ years of experience in big data development and data analytics.

Experience with distributed computing and data processing frameworks

Advanced programming skills in Java, Python, or Scala.

Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.

Experience with automated data pipeline and workflow management tools: DevOps, ARM, Data Factory, Airflow.

Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.

Share knowledge with team members & participate in various learning-sharing activities

Excellent English and French written and verbal communication skills.

A minimum of 3 years industry experience working with data, coding and scripting (Python/Java/Scala/SQL/JS/Bash), design and testing.

A minimum of 3 years experience developing and administering large data systems.

3+ years of experience leading engineers as a manager or technical lead including experience coaching and developing senior engineers.

10+ years of experience of working as software professional in various technical roles.

Proven experience increasing the reliability of existing backend services using observability, standardizing deployment, etc.

Proven experience of managing distributed systems at tens of terabytes.

Experience leading agile software development practices.

Key responsibilities of this role are:

Knowledge sharing with our global team

Support, mentor, and coach as People Manager for a team of 1 to 5 PE engineers.

Provide additional mentorship and coaching of engineers across PE and other capabilities in your location.

Provide Subject Matter Expertise via technical qualifications and architecture direction setting in sales pursuits.

Act as a hands-on, senior technical lead for large scale, multi-functional product teams creating purpose-built software products for our clients.

Conduct technical interviews for PE recruiting.

Contribute to PE-wide events and initiatives.
