Job Description

Job Title: Big Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Big Data Engineer to join our team. As a Big Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our big data infrastructure. You will also be responsible for analyzing and processing large datasets, and building scalable solutions to support business requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data processing and storage.
  • Develop data processing pipelines and workflows that are efficient, scalable, and reliable.
  • Implement and maintain data security and privacy policies.
  • Design and develop big data solutions using Hadoop, Spark, and other big data technologies.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies and tools related to big data and data analytics.
  • Build data models and schemas to optimize data storage and retrieval.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions.
  • Write complex queries and programs to extract insights and information from large datasets.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
  • Advanced programming skills in Java, Python, or Scala.
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in big data development and data analytics.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with distributed computing and data processing frameworks
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Hadoop, Spark, and other big data technologies.
