Data Engineering Developer Jobs

+5 years of experience in data engineering or related fields, at least 1 year as a technical lead.

Experience with AWS technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway and Event Bridge is an asset.

Experience with data streaming technologies like Kafka is an asset.

Experience working with retail, ecommerce, marketing, and related data sets is an asset.

Leading development within our current data stack including Snowflake, DBT and AWS serverless architecture.

Mentor and provide technical guidance to data engineers, developers, and analysts.

Provide high-level calendar management and administrative support to Leaders

Superior knowledge of and experience with G Suite and Microsoft Office

Manage team calendars, Slack, Google Drive, and other team tools and trackers

Plan and manage team off-sites and activities

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of applicable experience

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Comfortable communicating with stakeholders (customers, product managers, C-level management.

4+ years of professional software engineering and programming experience (Java, C++, Scala).

Advanced coding skills and practices (concurrency, distributed systems, functional principles, performance optimization).

Professional experience working in an agile environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience in operating and maintaining production grade software

3-5 years of experience with one or more coding languages such as Python (is a must), Java, Kotlin, Ruby

Experience working with data at scale using distributed platforms such as Airflow, Redshift, Flink, Kafka, Spark, or similar

Experience with data modelling and ETL design, implementation and maintenance

Experience with different database platforms such as Oracle and Postgresql

Experience with SQL performance tuning and optimization

Experience with design and implementation of high-performance systems with reliable monitoring and logging
