Work with data analytics solution team to understand data requirements, Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) and implementation of ETL logic

Design effective test strategy to validate end-to-end data quality based on data requirements and business needs

Proven experience in tuning databases and queries for optimal performance

Experience in programming languages used in data systems - Python or R or Java

Experience in ingesting data from various sources in formats such as JSON, XML, CSV, etc.

Experience in data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.

10+ years of professional experience as a Data engineer and or Data or Software management or Director or Head level experience

100% Data strategy and people management

Experience leading teams of 50-60 people

Experience working with multiple departments, groups and executives

Experience working with realtime streaming data

Previous experience as a software engineer in your past roles

· Maintain current knowledge of and leverages industry best practices related to data and metadata management.

· Provide support to metadata management related to data assets (data classification, data lineage) using Informatica Axon.

· Create and monitor metrics related to compliance of data management policies.

· University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent skills and experience.

· Experience migrating SAS or SQL data into other formats.

· Experience with Python and familiar with R, SQL, and SAS.

Skilled with Source Code Management Tools (GitHub a plus)

Familiarity with Project Management Tools (JIRA, Confluence a plus)

Familiarity with Service Management Tools (Service Now a plus)

Experience on working within compliance (e.g.: quality, regulatory - data privacy, GxP, SOX) and cybersecurity requirements is a plus

Knowledge of SQL is an asset Candidate Requirements/Must-Have skills:

8+ years’ Data Analysis and Data Management experience

Working knowledge of Datastage, Informatica

Previous relatable financial institution experience in Credit risk, IFRS is an asset

4+ years’ experience with SAS Enterprise Guide (EG), including SAS macros

2+ years’ working experience with Unix and Linux commands

Comfortable communicating with stakeholders (customers, product managers, C-level management.

4+ years of professional software engineering and programming experience (Java, C++, Scala).

Advanced coding skills and practices (concurrency, distributed systems, functional principles, performance optimization).

Professional experience working in an agile environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience in operating and maintaining production grade software

3-5 years of experience with one or more coding languages such as Python (is a must), Java, Kotlin, Ruby

Experience working with data at scale using distributed platforms such as Airflow, Redshift, Flink, Kafka, Spark, or similar

Experience with data modelling and ETL design, implementation and maintenance

Experience with different database platforms such as Oracle and Postgresql

Experience with SQL performance tuning and optimization

Experience with design and implementation of high-performance systems with reliable monitoring and logging
