Quality Manager - Food Industry

Develop standardized production, quality, and customer-service standards.

Identify potential risks, corrective action plan.

Lead internal and external quality audits, internal and external partner.

Proven time management skills in a fast-paced environment

Collaborate and strategize with OSL Sales & Ops Directors to plan execution, target setting, performance management to drive sales integrity

Define Performance management metrics (Quality PPM) & Incentive ideation to support Quality KPIs

Drive National Performance Management (PPM) strategy across all verticals & applications (IntelliHR, Axonify, Quality Reports)

Develop strategy and manage the successful execution of all Quality focused programs and ensure achievement of Quality Targets

Work closely, day to day, with our client Marketing and Operations teams to establish and manage the regional/national scorecards

Post-secondary certificate / diploma or equivalent in work experience

Minimum 3 years experience in related field (including APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, FMEA, within Automotive or Manufacturing environment required)

Possess working knowledge of ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance criteria

Champions process capability improvements by analyzing data and implementing corrective actions

Assembles, reviews and approves PPAPs

Assists in development and maintenance of PFMEA/Control Plan,

Ensure proper documentation of processes to provide service that meet customer requirements and quality management requirements.

Professional experience in quality management and continuous improvement.

People management skills – consultation with employees, coaching, feedback, development of individuals.

Oversee the implementation of the Quality Management Plans and Siemens quality principles in daily operations:

Drives quality improvement methods and improve process performance management.

Lead relevant quality reporting, including Management Reviews.

Successful completion of a post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Project Management; or an equivalent level of education and experience.

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Experience in strategic planning, change management and risk management.

Lead the development of and grow corporate capacity in the area of formal project management.

Assist the Chief Administrative Officer and Senior Management in the timely accurate maintenance of strategic and tactical planning efforts.

Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager

Rate of pay is dependent on skills and experience.

Comply with the facility’s certifications and regulatory approvals.

Work directly with other managers and supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.

Minimum 5 years of related work experience in an edible oil refinery.

Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a technical leadership role.

Strong organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills.

Have a thorough knowledge of the Projects Quality Management System, work instructions and procedures

Confer with vendors, subcontractors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status

Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering or related degree

Experience in construction with minimum 4 years as a Quality Manager in industrial sectors

Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail

Manage Quality for the civil construction

Review customer specifications and as appropriate purchase order requirements. Ensures a quality management system exists to guarantee conformance.

Metallurgical sound knowledge and experience

Knowledge of Collective Agreement and other workplace legislative requirements

Education: Metallurgical Engineering Degree; Quality Assurance Certificates or equivalent experience

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Strong leadership and organizational skills.

7 - 10 years’ experience in environmental management and/ or planning

Proven experience managing and coordinating Quality Management Systems;

Implement and improve the Environmental Quality Management Plan (EQMP) and Environmental Quality Standard Procedures (EQSPs).

Knowledgeable about ISO 9001:2015 and experience conducting internal audits;

Develop and manage respective EQSPs day to day.

Promote awareness of Contracting Authority (CA) requirements with respect to environmental quality throughout the Project Team.

Experience with project management, including applying structured approach to planning, administering and completing projects successfully

Ownership within Integrated Pest Management

Learn and apply new technology, and share your knowledge with others

Maintain customer audit programs and agreed 3rd party certification   

Manage customer documentation, specifications, and ensure active customer support

Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, quality specifications, safety standards, and sanitation practices

Development and implementation of project specific quality management plans, aligning Stuart Olson and Client/Owner requirements from a quality standpoint.

Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to meet aggressive internal and external deadlines.

Quality Management Certificate or equivalent.

Well-rounded knowledge base relating to multiple disciplines and turnover requirements related to these disciplines.

Proficient with Microsoft Office, Blue Beam, PowerBI and Construction Management System (CMS) software.

Minimum 8 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas Industry and/or Nuclear Power Industry.
