Yard Foreman And Forklift Operators Jobs

Atleast 3 years of experience as a yard foreman, a team leader, working in the construction or wood industry, or similar

Have an extensive knowledge of wood and/or construction materials

Complete insurance package paid 50%

Day shift (must be available as of 6am)

Managing health and safety protocols of the yard

Collaborate with project management, superintendents, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and timelines.

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to yard operations, equipment maintenance and inventory management.

Technical Trades certification with 2-3 years' experience or equivalent.

Related construction experience with a contractor; Tunneling, Trenchless, or heavy civil construction.

Working knowledge of health and safety regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.

Experienced in determining lot lay-out and product information very quickly.

Foreman position needs leadership and organizational skills.

Must have prior 3 to 5 years of experience operating all-terrain forklifts with loading and unloading experience.

Lumber wholesale and distribution experience is a major asset.

Previous experience loading trucks last load on/first load off (e.g. b-trains) is considered an asset.

Physically demands:Walking, climbing, standing and lifting (physically strenuous); must be able to lift up 50 pounds without assistance.
