Handle moderate to complex Workers' Compensation claims with minimal supervision and ‎guidance from the manager.

3 to 5+ years of experience handling Workers Compensation claims.

Experience with public entity accounts, a plus

Excellent Customer Service and Organizational skills.

Flex schedule and ability to work remotely

Negotiate settlements with injured workers and attorneys.

• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

• Confirm policy existence by identifying coverage on low complexity claims.

• Establish timely reserves within authority limit by estimating value of claims.

• Ensure customer service by proactively communicating information, responding to inquiries, and following customer protocols.

• Refer claim to subrogation and fraud teams by identifying potential subrogation and fraud.

• Collect data and document in established system to facilitate the accurate assessment and value of claims.

Experience (1-2 years) with data entry or data processing large volumes of information

Performs on-the-job training activities including:

Adjusting lost-time workers compensation claims under close supervision. May be assigned medical only claims.

Adjusting low and mid-level liability and/or physical damage claims under close supervision.

Processing disability claims of minimal disability duration under close supervision.

Provide instructions to property managers in preparation for litigation;

Minimum 5 years experiences, specifically in the area of commercial general liability claims.

Highly developed organization skills with able to work well under time pressure.

Working knowledge of Case Laws as it relates to commercial general liability claims.

Excellent analytic skills with strong attention to detail.

Minimum 3 – 5 years insurance claims experience;

CIP (or working towards it); and/or post-secondary education;

Experience managing a file from intake to resolution;

Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in verbal and written communication;

Computer competencies / high proficiency with MS Office.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a busy environment;

Experience with travel or medical claims

MS Office and technical capabilities

Work with Healthcare Risk Management Department for Education and Developing Coordinated Responses to Situations
