Window Warehouse Assemblers Night Shift Jobs

Experience setting up and running both conventional and programmable brake presses an asset

Preparing material for welding using various processes, including chemical etching

Performing drill press operations (drill, tap and read to drawing specification, counterbore and countersink, sharpen drill bits)

Installing bushings and bearings, helicoils and rivets

Setting up and test assembled products as required by test procedures

Operating brake press, punch press, drills (radial and spindle), shear, saw(s)

Maintain a clean and safe work environment as per company requirement

What You Have To Offer

Assemble orders for shipment to stores

Physical work including frequent bending, lifting, and reaching

Occasionally lift over 88 lbs

Two person lift required for weights exceeding 50 lbs

Previous experience in warehouse, manufacturing or production environment

Experience on warehouse equipment such as forklift or pallet jack is preferred

Competitive wages - starting pay is $23.00/hr

Ability to stand, climb and walk on a continual basis throughout shift

Must be available to work during a shift which may be scheduled anytime during a 24-hour day, over any 7-day period

1-2 years of warehouse experience

Must pass pre-employment background and drug test

Receive and process warehouse stock products.

Select and prepare customer orders in a manner that insures complete fulfillment of each customer order.

Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, and transportation management

Diploma, degree or post-secondary education or equivalent experience

5 years of work experience in a supervisory role ideally in a unionized warehouse environment

A proven leader with strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization

Experience with MS Office, radio frequency ID systems (RFID), bar code systems, and electronic data interchange (EDI) is an asset

Plans, communicates, and executes daily shift work plan outlining work assignments

Learns and properly executes UPS package handling methods.

Loads and unloads UPS packages into trailers or package cars.

Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (35kg)

Full availability to work Monday to Friday (all five days of the week)

Ability to read and memorize postal codes

5 years related warehouse supervisor experience

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Train and supervise staff in standard operating procedures and safe work environment

Responsible for efficient operations of the warehousing and shipping departments

Lead and inspire Health & Safety compliance and Continuous Improvements activities are practiced

Communicate & implement change as required

Warehouse related experience is an asset.

Pallet jack experience is an asset.

Maintains an acceptable level of production and accuracy while selecting foodservice orders.

Loads pallets to ensure safe delivery of product to customers.

5 years related warehouse supervisor experience

1 - 2 years of experience in a fast-paced and physically demanding job

Experience using a Powered Pallet Truck is an asset

Effective verbal communication skills and the ability to read and follow written instructions

Picking, assembling and loading food orders for shipment, both manually and with a powered pallet truck

Ensuring all orders are picked accurately and safely while maintaining production targets

Performing general cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
