Professional Engineer or Sr. Design Technologist with 7+ years of demonstrated experience in the area of transportation engineering;

Experience with rural & urban roadway design and inter-disciplinary coordination related to roadway and highway projects;

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with excellent teamwork skills;

Good understanding of QA / QC as well as OH&S practices / requirements;

Good working knowledge of TAC and BC Supplement to TAC design standards;

Alternative Delivery (DB, P3, etc.) projects experience is an asset; and

Demonstrated knowledge of roads/transportation asset management as well as roads operations

Knowledge of the Capital Budget and Development Charge process

Strong financial acumen with experience controlling budgets, preparing cost estimates and expenditures for capital works projects

Provide design input and advice based on experience and knowledge of industry best practices.

Building security, fire detection and telecommunication systems (working knowledge considered an asset).

Strong communication and organizational skills. 

Lead the preparation of electrical design deliverables, including drawings, lists and schedules in coordination with electrical engineers.

Support in the preparation and coordination HDH electrical design packages

Mentor and lead junior designers or drafters in their technical development

Water Resource Technology diploma or equivalent combination of education and industry experience

Knowledge / experience with GPS survey equipment and processes

Interest or experience in hydraulic structures and drainage design

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Conduct field reviews for localized and large area drainage assessments, including conditions assessment of drainage structures, water sampling and testing.

Execute field surveys including preliminary topographic surveys and hydraulic surveys using GPS survey equipment.

Experience in collecting data from the field and knowledge of analysis methodologies.

Ability to establish strong and effective working relationships with senior management, and other stakeholders.

Extensive experience in transportation construction, maintenance or planning;

Other Certification such as PMP/CAPM/CAMA/ISO55001;

Excellent verbal and written communications skills;

Excellent research, analytical and problem solving skills;
