Mission
We are looking for a Water Resource Technologist to join our expanding multidisciplinary team in Saskatchewan. You will work closely with our local team of professionals in the delivery of projects for various public and private-sector clients.
You will have the opportunity to take part in our hybrid work model that includes flexible work hours, working from home and in our Saskatoon Office.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of contract documents and project cost estimates.
  • Assist project engineers and technologists in carrying out technical tasks requiring accuracy in calculations, completeness of data and adherence to prescribed methods
  • Assist and prepare Environmental Site Assessments for water course crossings.
  • Assist and prepare preliminary and detailed calculations, design plans, hydraulic models, and quantity take-offs using industry standard software including extensive use of HEC RAS, CulvertMaster, AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Conduct field reviews for localized and large area drainage assessments, including conditions assessment of drainage structures, water sampling and testing.
  • Execute field surveys including preliminary topographic surveys and hydraulic surveys using GPS survey equipment.
Profile
  • Water Resource Technology diploma or equivalent combination of education and industry experience
  • Interest or experience in hydraulic structures and drainage design
  • Knowledge / experience with GPS survey equipment and processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
