Transportation Financial Analyst Jobs

Create and maintain appropriate daily, weekly, and monthly management reporting.

May manage self-clearance customs process through preparing entries and submissions to respective agencies.

May assist with yearly free trade agreement solicitations, qualifications and renewals, preparation of blanket and individual certificates of origin.

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Logistics Management, business, communication or any related field

Enforce any policies or safety rules related to outbound transportation & dock management

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project management, testing, and implementation.

Leads and manages RFP process and onboarding/communication of new carriers

Liaise with Operations, QA and Sales team to identify outbound requirements (POD’s, track/trace and expedite)

Schedule all daily pick up requests and manages any freight claims.

Demonstrates a naturally collaborative approach and the capability to leverage knowledge/skills where appropriate from across the organization.

Experience in converting business requirements and functional requirements to use cases and user stories with acceptance criteria

Ability to work within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several activities.

Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills

Experience in transportation/supply chain environments is considered an asset.

Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple competing priorities professionally often under tight timelines.

3+ years supervisory experience and personnel management in a bargaining unit environment

Experience with Transportation/Warehouse Management Systems and shipment tracking programs related to the transportation field

Develop proposals and recommendations for the department as well as senior management

3+ years experience in a logistics, customs, excise and freight payment environment or equivalent experience

Proven ability to motivate and lead a team with effective written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of freight payment and claims practices, with cursory knowledge of tariffs, rules and regulations

3–5 years of related experience in Accounting or Finance is required, with experience in freight or transportation preferred  

University graduate with a focus in Business, Logistics, Finance or related field.

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner

Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail
