Thorough knowledge of the courier industry and working knowledge of the Transport of Dangerous Goods legislation.

Ability to demonstrate strong negotiation skills

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Ability to use personal computer and use MS office suite of programs

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships will all levels of staff, external agencies and business community

Ability to organize workload and work independently

Experience using Dispatch Management Systems, and MS Office Suite

Manage customer expectations around response times and services provided

Accurately manage job information and requests into dispatch operations system and CRM

Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience (Roadside or fleet dispatching, Service Advisor)

Experience with working with customers who may be in a high stress scenario

Excellent written and oral communications skills

Strong organization and time management skills required

Experience utilizing route planning tools within a Transportation Management System preferred

Post-secondary education or equivalent experience required

Strong decision making skills, and ability to adapt to support dynamic business requirements

Advanced computer skills are required Excel, Word, Outlook

Strong verbal and written communication skills required
