Travel frequently and be away from home for extended periods of time
Ensure railroad right-of-way is clear of brush, vegetation and snow
Operate in a safe and efficient manner, all equipment and tools associated with track maintenance
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and federal and provincial regulations
Track Specialist Jobs

Must successfully complete training/certification in the following: Canadian Rail Operating Rules (CROR) and Track Inspection Guidelines (TIG)
Comprehensive knowledge of track, bridge structures, construction and maintenance including identification of deficiencies
Perform field audits and track inspection services on Metrolinx owned and operated railway corridors.
Administer track construction and rehabilitation for programmed maintenance and expansion
Establish, within regulatory guidelines, the priority, inspection frequency, and condition audit reporting of program maintenance and plant renewal implementation.
Ensure full contractor compliance with contractual agreement terms and conditions governing the delivery of railway corridor engineering services.
