Captain - must have previous Z-drive experience, Tug & barge experience, preferred.

DHC-3T or DHC-6 Captain Experience

Must meet requirements established by Client Standards

Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

3000 hours total flight time

500 hours Multi Engine PIC

Must have current and valid passport

Ensure the proper management of the ship (crew, equipment, administration);

Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.

Demonstrated mastery, autonomy in the job (knowledge, skills, know-how) and positive leadership;

Ensure that the ship and crew have the necessary certification for the area of operation;

CA MED Lifeboat and Non-Fast Rescue Boat Operation Skills [PSC/PSC]

Knowledge of the operation of a quality system with ISM standards (SMS);

Fulfill role of Crew with Engineering Responsibilities on board with all relevant knowledge and responsibilities

Know, understand and implement the Operational Procedures as laid out in the Safety Management System

Know, understand and implement the Emergency Procedures laid out in the Safety Management System

Ensure the Mates are working safely and efficiently and provide regular feedback regarding Mate performance to the Manager, Marine Operations

Ensure the Deckhands are working safely and efficiently and provide regular feedback regarding Deckhand performance to the Manager, Dock Operations

Report non-conformities to the Designated Person (Manager, Marine Operations)

Participate in the execution of the Safety Management System (SMS), including emergency drills

Execute other projects as assigned by management

Adhere to Company’s performance management guidelines for all discipline

Execute collateral duties as assigned by Marine Management: uniforms, crew training, safety training, and routine vessel maintenance

Responsible alcohol service requirement - Smart Serve Certification is required

Ability to manage multiple variables - the food, the costs, pricing, scheduling and more

Impromptu problem-solving skills when dealing with internal and external conflict

Ensure tables are decorated correctly, food is presented well, and service goes off without a hitch

Be the lead on event supervision and execution.

Execute other projects as assigned by management.

Consideration will be given to candidates with a Master Limited over 60 Gross Tonnage certificate who possess sufficient supporting experience

Current (within previous two (2) years) Transport Canada approved marine medical certification

Minimum two (2) years of experience in the marine environment

O.S.S.D. or equivalent as recognized by the Ministry of Education

Must have a minimum of one (1) year customer service experience

Must have excellent oral communication skills – expression, listening and comprehension

Cash handling / basic math skills are required; agents collect money from guests, and return proper change

3+ years of experience with electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial environment.

3+ years of experience with PLC-based applications in an industrial environment.

Experience with pumps, welding, bearings, electrical safety, forklifts, gears, hydraulics, valves, and rigging.

Experience in a TPM environment.

DHC-3T or DHC-6 Captain Experience

Demonstrated knowledge of northern flying operations
