Strong knowledge and understanding of manufacturing environment • Knowledge of North American Food regulations.

Communicate and review progress with project managers and team members during solution development to ensure that requirements have been met

Work with business analysts and end users during system design to determine functional and technical requirements

5+ years of software development experience using C#.Net

Coordinate with suppliers, provide ongoing management, and negotiate product development costs.

Manage design briefs, packaging requirements, and internal project deadlines, ensuring products are fully compliant

Excellent written and verbal communication skills plus strong IT skills including experience using database systems

Maintain NPD workflow with the Product Development Manager to achieve category targets.

Collaborate with Category Buyers and Managers to identify and address product opportunities and gaps.

Background in product development with a minimum of 3 years experience working with product, specifically with wet goods

5+ years minimum industry experience (preferably within the Product Development, Product Management or Sourcing departments)

Minimum eight years automotive product engineering experience with a minimum 3-4 years of direct supervisory experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Product Design, APQP, launch and manufacturing experience.

Follow and update, as necessary, all IATF 16949 product engineering systems.

·Bachelor of Food Science degree or equivalent education and work experience

·Knowledge of SQF, GMP, HACCP, Canadian and US labelling regulations will be an asset

·Work closely with cross functional teams to develop new products from concept to commercialization

·Create and develop new products from ideation into benchtop prototypes, then tweak formulations according to customer’s feedback

·Coordinate sample shipments to ensure all customer sample requests are met within deadlines

·Organize and perform scale up production plant trials, problem solve and make recommendations should problems arise

5+ years minimum industry experience (preferably within the Product Development, Product Management or Sourcing departments)
