Cad Technician Structural Engineering Jobs in Nova Scotia

Actively work at improving drafting skills

Minimum of 5+ years of civil designing experience;

Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills;

Experience on municipal and/or private sector projects an asset, and;

Experience in Autodesk Revit an asset.

Training will be provided through Planitar Inc.’s learning management system, iGUIDE Academy.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of BOMA, ANSI or RMS measurement standards.

Work with Draft, our proprietary drafting software designed by Planitar to produce iGUIDE floor plans for residential and commercial real estate.

Work with Xactimate to prepare floor plan sketches for estimating.

Maintain organized documentation and file management systems.

Review and interpret design specifications, technical documents, and project requirements.

Minimum 2 years of experience as a CAD Technician in the construction industry, with a focus on electrical projects.

Solid knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, engineers, and clients.

Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and prioritize tasks effectively.

Must have proven proficiency in Windows network environment, file management and data conversion;

Experience using Adobe Graphic software and knowledge of GIS concepts is considered an asset;

Must possess exceptional map reading skills;

Certification as an Engineering Technician or Technologist by O.A.C.E.T.T., or willing to work towards certification, will be considered an asset;
