Technical Staff Engineer Jobs

6+ years of Project Management experience in a relatable field.

Extensive experience with Microsoft Project.

Knowledge of automated equipment systems and tools - robotic, vision, material handling, Conveyors, PLC, HMI, etc.

Rich knowledge and experience in RTOS constructs including MSP, threads, IPC, scheduling, synchronization and memory management

Strong electrical design knowledge, schematics drawing reading and oscilloscopes using skills

System-level knowledge of boot loader, hardware initialization, and boot-up process etc.

Proficient C and Assembly Language programing skills

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent inter-personal and team working skills

Proven experience leading and executing complex, cross-functional programs. Strong problem solving and project/program management skills are a must.

Experience building, developing and managing highly effective program management tools and cadences

Demonstrated experience in analytics, including advanced proficiency in Excel and knowledge of SQL. Comfort with data visualization and dashboarding.

Represent your stakeholder team in collaborations with other Shopify teams, such as finance, legal, procurement, and commercial teams.

Ability to gather and integrate important information, distill and synthesize requirements to summarize program impacts and opportunities

Tech/e-commerce company experience, ideally experience negotiating with vendors, partners, or clients.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Assist in Process Hazard Analysis consulting projects involving the design and engineering for existing and/or new chemical and process facilities

Contributing to content creation to the Process Safety Board community, Process Hazard Analysis Books

Provide sound technical guidance to upper management and lead technical solutioning for new business pursuits.

Undergraduate degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Math, Physics, or a combination of related education and experience;

Ability to learn new technologies and space borne remote sensing domain knowledge quickly; and

12 or more years of overall experience working in an engineering or technical environment;

Experience in different types of engineering life cycles as applicable from large complex programs to software development;

Ability and knowledge to work with MATLAB, Python or C++;
