A Substitute Custodian is a temporary employee who is responsible for providing custodial services in a school or other educational facility. They are responsible for cleaning and maintaining the facility, as well as ensuring the safety and security of the building.

Detailed Job Description:

The Substitute Custodian is responsible for performing a variety of custodial duties in a school or other educational facility. These duties may include cleaning and maintaining classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and other areas of the facility; sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors; dusting and polishing furniture; emptying trash cans; and cleaning windows and mirrors. The Substitute Custodian may also be responsible for setting up and taking down furniture for events, as well as performing minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and unclogging drains. Additionally, the Substitute Custodian is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the facility, including locking doors and windows, and reporting any suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities.
