Structural Heart Senior Clinical Specialist Jobs

Minimum of three (3) to five (5) Years of recent, successful Management and Leadership experience

Initiates and provides leadership toward educational activities/programs aimed at development of knowledge and skills related to specialty areas.

Facilitates the understanding of program management through involvement and communication with key stakeholders both internally and externally.

Supports corporate management and leadership initiatives.

In collaboration with the unit-based team, Program Director and senior hospital management; prepares, monitors and administers assigned budget.

Previous experience navigating and using Meditech, and general healthcare program software.

Be responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the cardiovascular waitlist management system.

Demonstrated ability to think laterally, solve problems, make decisions and take action in a crisis management environment.

Provide education and support for patients/families during the waiting period and conducts follow-up of patients post procedures.

Provides supervision to cardiac waitlist clerks and surgery and cardiology booking clerks.

Comprehensive knowledge of health care delivery systems.

Demonstrated skills in leadership, communication, mediation and negotiation.

Master of Nursing /Health Care/Education preferred

Minimum of three years full time clinical experience within the last five years in a cardiovascular critical care environment required

Relevant Specialty/CNA Certification in Cardiovascular Nursing and/or Critical Care Nursing required (or a willingness to complete within 18 months)

Diploma or certificate in adult education or equivalent (willing to obtain if needed)

Leadership Development Education an asset or a willingness to complete

Previous teaching experience which involves designing, implementing and evaluating both traditional and non-traditional methods of instruction preferred

Master’s degree with Nurse Practitioner Certification;

Previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner an asset;

Program planning and evaluation skills;

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;

Current College of Nurses of Ontario Certificate of Competence;

Demonstrated clinical expertise in cardiology preferred;

Scheduling and management appointments including office appointments, procedures, group appointments, multi-provider appointments and specialist clinic appointments

Using internal messaging, report generating and task management tools within electronic patients record

Minimum of 1 year experience in office administration required

1-2 years' experience in MSI billing processes preferred

Extensive experience in electronic communication (including but not limited to) Microsoft Word, Access and Outlook required

Demonstrated competence in verbal and written communication and public relations skills required
