- Lead the end to end sourcing process

- Develop and implement global efficiencies, standardized tools, technology, policies and procedures related to Procurement

At least 8 years of experience in strategic sourcing and/or management consulting

BA/BS degree in business, supply chain or related discipline; CPM certification and/or MBA a plus;

Deep knowledge and interest in strategic sourcing and continuous improvement processes

Experience managing and leading a team of direct and indirect reports

Strong Strategic Vendor Management subject-matter expertise

Strong IT and cloud experience and solid understanding of the Cloud players

Experience with working with IT Services and System integrators

Expertise in contracting and understanding Cloud terms

Recognized for driving change and innovation

Ability to communicate with different levels of Management with interpersonal and teamwork skills

Solid understanding of vendor relationship management best practices, vendor obligations, and service level agreements defined in all contracts.

Assist in developing RFx requirements

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Procurement or relevant working experience

Strong relationship building skills and the ability to influence our business partners

Executing the OMERS Procurement process, from developing the sourcing strategy, facilitating the competitive process, negotiating and selecting the successful supplier

Good organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Effective supplier communication & Stakeholder Management

Ongoing database and information management as it relates to contracts terms and conditions

Follows up on orders and coordinates the management of purchase orders

Indirect Strategic Sourcing and vendor management (30%)

For each vendor, key contracts from requirements analysis to fulfillment

7+ years’ experience in global procurement, sourcing and relationship management

Post-secondary education in Finance, related Purchasing field or Procurement Designation

Experience in leading and supporting stakeholder interactions/relationships

Strong negotiation and analytical skills
