Software Developer Plc Jobs in Nova Scotia

Lead training of PLC end-users at customer locations and represent Valiant TMS utilizing results-driven problem-solving skills

A completed college or university program in Electrical Engineering/Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Robotic Studies or another similar field of study

Ability and willingness to travel internationally to customer locations

5+ years of relevant experience in the field (robotics, PLC, etc)

Strong ground up PLC programming experience

Previous experience at Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation

Strong written and oral communication with a self starter attitude

Flexible - overtime and weekend work occasionally required

Post secondary engineering degree, diploma or equivalent, specializing in mechanical, electrical, systems or computer engineering

Organized, self-regulated and excellent time management skills required.

Must have excellent understanding and practical knowledge of various motor control applications including Starter/Overload combinations, Soft Starters, Servo Drives, and VFD’s.

On-Site/remote support Troubleshooting and commissioning of Hardware including;

College diploma as a minimum or equivalent industry experience.

2 years minimum experience working with automated industrial equipment and production lines. Working Experience in automation or electrical design is required.

Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team (both internal and remote), including mechanical, electrical, control, fluid power, and CAD support.
