Senior Soc Analyst Jobs

Minimum five (5) years of IT operations experience with progressive responsibilities

Minimum three (3) years information security or other IT infrastructure security experience

CEH, GEVA, GPEN, OSCP or OSEP equivalent certification(s) an asset

Experience with leading information security standards and best practices

Strong experience with common information security tools and platforms

Direct experience with information security infrastructure, systems and controls including:

Internal Controls Attestations – Focus on reviewing management's assertions over their business processes and IT governance, risk and controls.

Maintain relationships with client management to manage expectations of service, including work products, timing, and the value to be delivered.

Play an active role in resource management, team development and training related activities.

Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Commerce, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or another relevant program

Extensive SOC reporting experience, as well as experience with IT Audit methodologies (internal and external audits)

A strong understanding of the requirements set under CPA Canada, AICPA and ISAE, as it pertains to SOC reporting

Knowledge of incident management and alert triaging process

Create or enhance SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) around operations, and knowledge articles

Continuously monitoring for vulnerabilities and new emerging threats and risks

Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position or equivalent experience

Extensive knowledge of common attack technics and typical attack kill chain (malware, phishing and ransomware, privilege escalation and lateral movement)

Demonstrable experience in network systems, and security monitoring in Microsoft environment

Remain curious and keep growing your skills and capabilities

University degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience

Experience with security tools like EDR and SIEM

Reliable character, self-starter, hungry to do more, good communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of a Microsoft Security Stacks would be an asset

Relevant security certifications is a plus

Performing continuous vulnerability management scans (CVMS) of the infrastructure;

Providing performance related feedback for team members to the Senior Manager, SOC for input into the bi-annual evaluations.

Analyzing and reporting on the findings of the CVMS, determining existing security vulnerabilities and identifying false positives;

SANS GIAC GCIH / GEVA / GFACT / GDAT, Comptia CPT / CEH / CISM, or other comparable cyber security certification.

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Strong investigative skills and mindset

Experience with processes in functional area (i.e., trouble management, fault management, and incident management).

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience relevant to network security with relevant industry certifications.

Knowledge and experience with PC’s, LAN topologies, routers, hubs, switches, and terminal servers.

Understanding of network management concepts and software, including SNMP

Document and maintain a knowledge base of alarms (false positives and false negatives, blacklists, whitelists) that IDS and IPS encounter.

Excellent written, verbal communication and organizational skills.
