Senior Renewable Electrical Project Engineer Jobs

Possess strong planning, scheduling and project management skills with the ability to plan and work independently

5 or more years of experience in a municipal or similar public sector engineering environment

Proven ability to manage in a team environment and to supervise technical professionals

Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English; ability to write and present complex data to non-professionals

Demonstrate autonomy with regards to project management tasking.

Develop and manage action logs. Able to concisely review with PMT members and that of the client as required.

Interpret and apply applicable regulatory requirements to execute assigned projects safely and successfully.

Proactively manage deadlines and ensure appropriate communication is provided (to relevant parties) when schedule and cost conflicts arise.

Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Degree in Engineering with 6-9 years of technical and project engineering experience and a P.Eng. designation.

Management of engineering and project life cycle

Management of Internal resources, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project progression and delivery

Proactive quality control and risk management

Must have a P. Eng with 5 years experience and be eligible to practice in BC

Must have experience working in a similar capacity/role, in a consulting, EPCM, or engineering services environment

Hybrid Environment (Work Monday, Friday, plus one other day in the office, and two days from home)

Good working knowledge project management principles and roles

Good understanding of Project Management processes.

A minimum four (4) years of working experience in leading multi-discipline design teams and in protection, control, and telecom systems.

Good working knowledge of design and transmission lines, an asset

Intermediate English skills for professional environment, written and spoken

Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Ability to manage multiple project responsibilities concurrently.

Manage the technical interface between project stakeholders

Identify specific resources to perform scheduled activities with functional managers.

Ensure technical and quality requirements are understood and met by engineering functions.

Minimum of 10 years of experience working with customers, regulators and suppliers.

Minimum of 10 years of experience working in a regulated environment

 Excellent time management and organization skills

 Provide construction support and interpret client’s needs and requirements while representing them in the field

 Provide oversight, guidance, and training to junior engineers and designers Qualifications

 Experience as an intermediate electrical project or design engineer

 Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook with advanced MS Office skills

 Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems a plus
