Senior Optical Design Engineer Jobs in Ontario

Wafer-Level PIC Test, Die-Level PIC Test, Laser-Die Test

Optical-Engine Calibration & Functional Test

In-Circuit test (ICT) and Manufacturing Defect Analyzer (MDA)

-Over 5 years of experience as Design Engineer or equivalent responsibility.

-Sketching skills (with demonstrated portfolio.)

-Strong written and verbal communication skills.

-Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, and customer focus.

-Experience and familiarity with machining, fabrication, and industrial processes.

-Fall Protection and Working from Heights certification is an asset, but can be provided.

Minimum 2 years of experience in safety critical applications or regulated industry.

GE's BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor (SMR) and/or

Gen-IV reactor technologies including Natrium and ARC sodium fast reactors (SFRs).

Demonstrates accountability for cost, schedule, quality, and technical accuracy of assigned tasks.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics from an accredited university or college.

Relocation to Markham, ON is required.

Up to 5 years of experience in the related areas

DWDM system design, test experience; familiar with key devices such as EDFA, WSS

DSP, FEC experience is an asset

Research on next generation optical communication systems such as wide-band transmission and SDM

Provide R&D direction and guidance to product line

Excellent physics, laser, optics, engineering background

People Leadership: Manages team performance against marketing portfolio and campaign objectives and KPIs through mentorship and professional development

Strong knowledge of both traditional and digital marketing practices

4-5 years in brand manager role, managing marketing campaigns

Annual Planning: Supports leadership in the development of annual marketing plans

Campaigns delivered on-time and on-budget

Translating marketing strategy into execution

Requirements Management experience utilize DOORs or similar tool.

Manages product and systems requirements, specifications, and flow down.

Manages interface between systems, components, and project/product management organizations.

Drive the identification of verification and validation (V&V) requirements at the plant, system, and component level.

Responsible for defining plant-level design requirements for the systems, components, subcontractors, and partner teams.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in an engineering capacity.

Knowledge in scripting and automation using SKILL language, Python, Perl and TCL is a plus

Good communication, teamwork skills and experience working with multi-site team desirable

Strong knowledge in Cadence IC design flow and tools

Strong knowledgeable in Verilog-A for analog behavioral modeling and simulation

Work with analog design lead and architects to design specific analog IP blocks

Simulate analog circuits across process corners and operating conditions
