Overview A Senior Network Operations Engineer is responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining the network infrastructure of an organization. They are responsible for ensuring the network is secure, reliable, and efficient. They must be able to troubleshoot and resolve network issues quickly and effectively. Detailed Job Description A Senior Network Operations Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the network infrastructure of an organization. They must be able to configure and troubleshoot network hardware and software, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. They must also be able to monitor the network for performance and security issues. They must be able to identify and resolve any network-related issues quickly and effectively. They must also be able to develop and implement network security policies and procedures. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of network protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs
• Knowledge of network hardware, such as routers, switches, and firewalls
• Knowledge of network security principles and best practices
• Knowledge of network monitoring and management tools
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues quickly and effectively
• Ability to develop and implement network security policies and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in network operations and administration
• CCNA or equivalent certification
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools
• Experience with network security principles and best practices
Job Knowledge
