Senior Java Tech Lead Jobs

Responsible for delivering software using agile development practices with skill combination of Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, APIs, Cloud Platforms.

Springboot Microservices and Java8 experience.

Knowledge of Maven Jenkins and CI/CD concepts

Provide expertise in the full software development lifecycle delivering high-volume, low-latency, scalable and reliable applications.

Write well-designed, testable, efficient code.

Ensure design follows specifications and deliver superior engineering outcomes.

Partner with the Engineering Manager and other Tech Leads to recruit and build the team

5+ years of experience working as a professional developer in cloud and data.

Experience with full-stack development (we currently use Django, React, and Postgres)

Experience with data processing engines (we use Beam and Big Query)

Track progress, resolve dependencies, evaluate risks and communicate status to management and business stakeholde The Position

Experience working in a self-managed team environment, familiarity with OKRs is a plus

Manage the successful implementation and delivery of solution releases, possibly spanning multiple parallel tracks

Partner closely with Global Product Owners, developers and Portfolio Managers and boost cross-regional collaboration and leverage existing solutions

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or technical field or equivalent experience in the area of Automation

2+ year of experience developing solutions in at least 1 of the following technologies/platforms:

Communicate with Field Services Supervisors to discuss weekly plans, potential issues, support requirements and solutions in collaborate with Operations Supervision.

4+ years of related earth work experience

Oil sands and/or mining experience preferred.

Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office Applications

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Effective oral and written communication skills with ability to communicate.

As identified/assigned by management from time to time.

Ensures that all equipment, tools and surrounding plant are to the best of his/her knowledge, safe to operate.

Regularly attends the Shift Safety Meetings and brings any concerns regarding safety to the Sr. Team Leader or Manufacturing Manager.

Minimum 2-year diploma or two years related industrial experience for new hires.

Power Engineering Class V certification is an asset.

Accurately records time spent on each project or task.

The application server/container configuration management and application deployment (Tomcat, Jboss, etc)

Caching - deep knowledge and experience

At least 7+ years of software development experience with 1 to 2 years in cloud development

Solid system design and code review skills in addition to hands-on skills of a Tech Lead using Java

Experience with high traffic applications and IO throughput

Experience with event streaming (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, Storm etc.)
