(1) Systems Specialist (ST15) 1-year term position ending 1- year after hire, with Information and Communications Technology (Highways and Public Works)

Post-secondary diploma/ degree in computer science or a related field would be considered an asset.

5 – 8 years proven experience in a project management role focused on network and infrastructure implementation/deployment.

Oversee the day-to-day management of the list of IT infrastructure initiatives and supporting resource capacity.

Use various project management tools and software applications to proactively track, monitor and control project deliverables.

Prepare Intake Assessments for Infrastructure projects to ensure the goals, objectives, scope, effort, cost, and benefits are clearly defined and analyzed.

Identify project tasks and resource requirements with the project team and external resources.

Plan, schedule, and manage project timelines, dependencies, and milestones using a project plan.

5+ years of experience in Project Management practices and methodology

Project Management Professional (PMP), CSM, ACP, ITIL certifications are assets

Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner

Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsible for completion of project design tasks within engineering disciplines, in accordance with project design criteria and project management plans.

Leads and manages technical teams for assigned design disciplines during a pursuit or final design project.

Manages quantities and constructability throughout the design process for assigned design discipline.

Experience reviewing and administering engineering contracts for design-build projects.

Strong written and verbal communications skills.
