Seasonal Farm Equipment Operator Jobs

Agricultural experience and/or Western Canadian agricultural knowledge;

Travel to assigned rural locations to take core soil samples from grower's fields

Knowledge base consistent with emergency response management principles, Primary skills include effective communication, assessment, follow-through, decision making and independent judgement.

Minimum of 2 + years' work experience in highway maintenance operations, freeway traffic control and incidents/accidents management.

Serve as a primary liaison between provincial and local police, fire and various emergency responders during incident management

Comply with Ferrovial Service's Risk Management, Quality Assurance and Health, Safety and Environment management systems, including statutory obligations

Avoids legal challenges by complying with federal, provincial and local legal requirements.

Ability to manage workload independently, prioritize demands and problem solve effectively.

Excellent PC skills, particularly MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)

Basic knowledge of vehicle systems and how they work, such as brakes and power assisted steering, is preferred

Operate a vehicle in a designated area for data collection

Start/Stop recording devices and do minor equipment/software debugging when necessary. Analyze/report data collected during shift

Write daily drive reports detailing observations and issues

Check vehicle is in proper and safe working order every day, and if not, notify team for repair

Must have prior farm experience or agricultural education.

Mechanical aptitude, equipment and vehicle repair, fabrication and welding experience.

Daily Irrigation duties including traveling guns and wheel moves.

Equipment repairs and maintenance, equipment modification / fabrication and some construction projects.

Truck operation of standard transmission pickup with trailer, 5ton and semi for delivery of hay, grain and seed.

Other on-farm duties as needed.

Previous knowledge of waste management operations is preferred

Must have strong verbal and written communication skills

Must have previous equipment experience.

Process of solid materials, solidification of liquids & slurries, offload and load trucks using frontend loader and back hoes

Process containerized waste such as drums, pails and totes by emptying, bulking, scraping and cutting containers

Maintain accurate and legible processing records as per your assigned work area (i.e. drums or batteries)
