General Warehouse Duties including Load/Unload Trailers

Picking Staple Stock/Breakpack freight on an order picker

Safely and accurately complete warehouse tasks, including unloading, sorting, labeling, put away, replenishing, auditing, picking and packing products.

Operate wrist-worn or hand-held scanning equipment to accurately fulfill customer orders for shipping.

Bachelor's degree in administration, supply chain, operations management or an equivalent combination of education and experience;

Identify issues related to the quality and management of the inventory and propose action plans to the manager;

Monitor the productivity of floor clerks, dispatchers, pallet sorters, distributors and team leaders under his charge;

Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar position;

Good knowledge of the Office suite of applications, particularly Excel;

Assign team members according to the priorities and operational needs of the shift;

Previous experience with RFID scanners and mobile scanners considered an asset

Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 10 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach

Responsible for inventory management including clean up and replenishment

Knowledge of hand (RF) scanners and experience using WMOS is an asset, but not required

Skilled at multi-tasking, and able to react quickly to frequent priority shifts

Work experience, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment, is an asset

Housekeeping, safety and warehouse compliance

Accurate and efficient order picking and packing, labeling cartons with the correct shipping and content labels

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00 am - 4:30 pm or 8:30am -5:00pm (schedule will be discussed upon start) with potential for Overtime Responsibilities:

Prior warehouse training or experience is preferred but not required

Marking pallets with identifying store information

Picking and staging parts for store replenishment

Using a hand-held radio frequency device (RF Scanner)

Reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals.

Unloading of freight and verifying product and count prior to receiving

Cutting shrink wrap off of shipment skids, verifying product skid content’s, and matching label to product.

Assembling pallets according to designated Ti/Hi and other specifications

Transportation of freight to various departments

Completion of paperwork accurately and as required to ensure timely completion of receiving procedures.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly up to 10 hours per day.

Post secondary education (Business/ Operations management, Supply Chain management or related field) is preferred

Effective interpretation and facilitation of local collective agreement to foster relationship between management and the union

Implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance

Typically requires 3+ years of subject matter experience including exhibiting leadership capabilities

Proven ability to drive continuous improvement with fundamental understanding of change management

5-7 years of direct people management experience of hourly and salaried employees across multiple teams.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Warehouse Management System and Labor Management System experience preferred.

Effectively helps to set and manage the annual budget to meet or exceed set targets.

Partners with cross functional departments to manage Strategic Initiatives to drive improved business results.

Independent supervisory experience and decision-making.

Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations or relevant on the job years of experience.
