Risk Analyst – Credit Risk Jobs in British Columbia

Experience working in an analytical role in Credit Risk or a related function

Skilled in the use of SAS, SQL or similar tools (you'll be using these daily)

Experience deriving insights from data and driving the development of business strategies e.g Credit Risk, Fraud, Marketing, Digital etc

Monitor portfolio performance and Credit Risk using analytical techniques to optimise the performance of the book

Analyse large data sets using SAS, SQL to find trends, forecast performance and provide Credit Risk insights

Investigate and make recommendations on the development of strategies, scorecards and policies

Advanced working knowledge of data manipulation and management tools

Creative thinker with proven research, analytical and problem solving skills

Scrutinize data with analytical tools and/or programming languages

Analyze data, assess data quality, maintain data, and cleanse data

Analytical thinker who can transform data into useable information

Strong communicator, who loves to solve problems with data

4 to 10 year experience in IT risk management / IT control testing.

Bachelors' degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.

Excellent time management and communication skills.

Work collectively with a dynamic team to maintain internal compliance systems and execute on general audit risk management projects.

Support the Risk Compliance team in the documentation and testing of various controls in the firm’s System of Quality Management.

Assist in preparing risk management guidance and training compliance materials for system end-users.

Provide support on a scheduled and ad-hoc basis to risk management teams.

Proven track record of teambuilding, relationship management, and dealing effectively with Senior Management

Assist with the development of risk management and independence training courses;

Promote and demonstrate commitment to audit quality, risk management and independence processes and policies within the firm;

Experience and proven ability to manage team members and projects successfully, and direct the work of others

Manage projects on an ad hoc and on-going basis, and identify process enhancements and improvements.

Strong research, critical thinking, and problem solving skills with the ability to apply conceptual framework to new and unique situations

Excellent business writing and communication skills, with a great attention to detail and ability to generate high quality deliverables

Manage relationships with project sponsors, senior management and a wide range of project contributors

Experience in mobile application security, including knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework.

Identify potential cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities in the mobile gaming platform and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.

Hands on security tool use to investigate threats, vulnerabilities and any security incidents

Maintain knowledge of emerging security threats and technologies to ensure the mobile gaming platform is up-to-date with the latest security measures.

Hands-on experience in security technologies, SIEM, EDR, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability scanners.

Excellent analytical, time management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously with tight deadlines

Support the IT Management team with assessing IT risk and governance resulting in recommendations for improving oversight and decision-making

Understanding of information security concepts such as identity and access management, authorization, encryption, privacy (PIPEDA, PII), and data security controls

Working knowledge and experience in MS suite of products (O365)

Ensure IT processes and controls are efficient, maintained and managed appropriately

University Degree or College Diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Business Administration or equivalent work experience
