Experience working in a recreation type environment.

First Aid Certificate with Child CPR

Class 5 BC Driver’s License would be an asset

WHMIS Certificate– provided by the employer

Experience with performing inventory and instructing programs would be considered assets

Ensures the ice surface is safe

Supervises skaters on the ice ensuring a fun and safe environment

Enforces rules and regulations following policies and procedures

Monitors supplies and program needs including performing inventory

Operates the arena’s sound system, making session announcements

Knowledge of basic operational functions, including affiliated roles & responsibilities

Experience in event related environment is an asset.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with the public and other staff.

Greet the public in a welcoming and friendly manner, consistently maintaining a positive attitude.

Assist with maintenance of ice (e.g., shoveling, moving nets, etc.) during hockey events and operating associated equipment as required.

Patrol facility looking for facility issues, safety hazards, or improper departmental operations, ensuring the safety of all guests at all times.
