Repair Shop Supervisor Jobs in Alberta

Provides on call technical support to field personnel and operational management staff as required.

Provides recommendations to the Fleet/Shop/Stores Manager regarding new equipment purchases, parts and warranties as required.

Work with Material and Equipment Managers to determine vehicle and equipment needs for the various sites and resolve related issues.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing vehicles and equipment.

Current Forklift certification is an asset.

Strong industry knowledge of NDE is an asset.

Work with the HR Department and Terminal Manager on all employee issues.

Manage CVIP program including paperwork and facility and inspection licenses.

5+ years of directly related experience

2+ years of supervisory experience

Possess working knowledge of products, sites, regulations, etc.

Assist Manager to schedule and prioritize shop repair and work orders.

Research support for new capabilities, equipment, and processes.

Computer Literate; strong MS Office skills.

Understands the collective agreement, performance management and disciplinary processes and the principles of high performance leadership

Understand the warranty process and determine warrantable failure and determine 3rd party requirements and availability if required

Manage and measure technician productivity

Manage and determine manpower availability, allocate technicians as required and assign additional technicians if required

Understanding and knowledgeable in Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and hazard Assessment

Lead and participate in daily review and update meetings as well as scheduled pre-job, mid-job and post-job reviews
