Job Description

We are looking for a Shop Supervisor at our Sherwood Park Terminal to oversee and supervise operations of the shop facilities.
  • Resolve work issues, recommend, and implement work measures to improve productivity.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of lead hands, crew leads and shop personnel.
  • Provide shift schedule(s) for the staff in the shop, and review and approve staff timecards for straight time, shift, and overtime hours.
  • Work with the HR Department and Terminal Manager on all employee issues.
  • Oversee the requisition of materials and supplies as well as contractors that are performing work on site.
  • Meet with the lead hands regularly for updates on work that is completed, in progress and work that needs to be scheduled.
  • Report any vehicle damage to Safety Department by generating an Event Report.
  • Enter on road and accident repairs into ABCantrack.
  • Manage warranty claims.
  • Ensure that standards for safe working conditions are observed.
  • Manage CVIP program including paperwork and facility and inspection licenses.
  • Perform probationary and annual performance reviews of the Shop personnel.
  • Provide support and assistance to shop personnel and drivers including responding to after-hours emergencies and attending driver’s meetings.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • 5+ years of directly related experience
  • High regard for safety
  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite of products
  • Polite and professional attitude
  • Possess working knowledge of products, sites, regulations, etc.
  • Valid drivers license
  • Journeyman ticket in related field
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic
