Renewables Power Engineering Specialist Jobs

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Renewables) or in Business (Finance or Management). An MBA Degree is preferable.

Project management skills are desired.

Achieve revenue targets as set by the Management.

Prepare periodical progress reports for management.

Strong background in renewable project development, deal structuring, stakeholder management, financial modeling, bankability and valuations is essential.

Lead and direct the work of team members with less experience.

CEM certification is a plus.

10+ years' engineering design experience in Solar PV, Concentrated solar and Energy storage (heat and chemical storage technologies).

Preferred Solar PV experience including plant design, installation and commissioning, system interconnection, codes, and standards.

Green Hydrogen, Fuel cells, and Wind energy experience is a plus.

Examine technical studies to align with This Company project proposal procedures, including equipment reliability, condition assessment, obsolescence, and standard compliance.

Work with multidisciplinary internal and external organizations to provide technical guidance and recommendations on design details and construction documents as necessary.

Minimum of 5 years of industry-related experience with at least 5 years of experience leading a team

Knowledge of best design practices to comply with different EMC standards

Extensive knowledge of components utilized in switch-mode power supply design

Agency compliance (UL, CSA, VDE, CE) experience

Experience in designing products for testability and manufacturability

Experience in designing microcontrollers to report and control power electronics

Knowledge or experience with Moodle or other Learning Management Systems (LMS) will be an asset.

First or Second Class Power Engineer Certificate endorsed by the Alberta Boiler Safety Association, plus several years of industry experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Adult instruction, training, and/or tutoring experience will be considered an asset.

Demonstrated teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Computer skills are required with a demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office tools and applications.

Financial management of projects to ensure cost effective and just in time provisioning, on time and on budget delivery

Budget management, PEATS system and financial tools

Management and financial tools like SAP

Manage life cycle of power elements mentioned above

Maintain and upgrade technical expertise to meet the fast changing industry requirement

Knowledge of Telecom OSS and protocols
