Current certification in Basic Life Support, Basic Rescue Level C, or Heartsaver Plus issued by SJHC.

Computer skills or willingness to obtain competency in computer skills.

Previous ICU experience is an asset.

Ability to set priorities and work with minimum supervision.

Ability to provide portering and transportation services for patients and supplies.

• Clinical Lab Hours (155 hours)

Completion of a recognized critical care nursing program or two years' recent, related critical care experience.

Thorough knowledge of nursing problems commonly encountered in a critical care environment.

Thorough knowledge of the physiological and behavioural aspects of complex critical illnesses.

Knowledge of other health care disciplines and their role in client care.

Two or more years of full-time nursing experience – required.

Minimum 2800 hours of nursing experience

Nursing experience must include experience in acute and LTC care settings
