Overview Regional Planners are responsible for developing and implementing plans to improve the quality of life in a given region. They work with local, state, and federal governments, as well as private organizations, to create plans for land use, transportation, economic development, and other related issues. Regional Planners must be knowledgeable about the area they are working in, and must be able to effectively communicate their plans to stakeholders. Detailed Job Description Regional Planners are responsible for developing and implementing plans to improve the quality of life in a given region. They work with local, state, and federal governments, as well as private organizations, to create plans for land use, transportation, economic development, and other related issues. Regional Planners must be knowledgeable about the area they are working in, and must be able to effectively communicate their plans to stakeholders. They must be able to analyze data, develop strategies, and create plans that are both effective and feasible. Regional Planners must also be able to work with a variety of stakeholders, including local government officials, business owners, and community members. Job Skills Required
