Refrigeration Mechanic Helper Jobs

Experience monitoring and inspecting building equipment, switches, valves, gauges, alarms, and other instruments to measure temperature, pressure and fuel flow.

Experience performing water treatment procedure and chemical analysis of boiler water, feed water, condensate water & water softener tank.

Knowledge of trouble shooting boiler problems

Experience in a food manufacturing environment is preferred

Excellent understanding of the operation and maintenance of boiler.

Good understanding of the safety standards

Experience in diagnosing and repairing technical and facility equipment

Experience in operating hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner

A strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting abilities

Proficient computer skills and good problem solving skills

A team player with good communication skills and the ability to supervise contractor

Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, racking, carpentry, welding and hydraulics is an asset

Moving tools, equipment and other materials

Performing miscellaneous labouring activities to help tradespersons, apprentices and other workers as directed

Assisting in Reading and interpreting blueprints.

Helping with Test operation of newly installed equipment.

Helping with disassembling defective units and repairing or replacing suspect parts.

Helping with Adjusting valves, ratchets, seals, brake linings, and other components.

Successfully obtained your Red Seal Refrigeration and Air Conditioning certification;

Experience using freon based systems;

Formal experience managing a team up to 10 (at least 4) technicians;

Ability to think on your feet and utilize strong problem-solving capabilities;

Experience working in Food and Beverage, Manufacturing, Distribution, or Heavy Industrial will be considered an asset.

Experience with servicing and installation of pneumatic control systems

5 years HVAC experience as a journeyman

Central station chiller training certifications

Minimum of 3rd year apprentice refrigeration mechanic

Full COVID-19 vaccination as required by the customer

Familiarity with building HVAC automation system, an asset
