Recreation Therapy Assistant Certified Jobs in Ontario

Provide assistance to the Recreation Manager in special event programming.

Prior experience in hospitality industry and/or retirement living and co-ordination of recreation programs is preferred.

Self-directed and team-oriented, with proficient organizational and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Prepare, deliver and clean-up of assigned regular scheduled individual and group programs, in a neat and safe manner.

Plan and implement new programs to meet resident’s needs.

Complete daily attendance records and other departmental records as required.

Assisting and supporting other department managers, including the marketing team, as needed;

Complying with Provincial Legislative requirements.

1- 3 years of experience with activity planning;

Experience in a retirement residence setting would be preferred;

Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills;

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

Works with regional management with respect to Community Health Services, in cooperation with the LHIN, HCCSS and OHT if applicable.

Responsible for maintaining quality management procedures and practices within the Nursing team and department.
