Graduate of an approved Medical Radiography program with attained certification by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)

Demonstrates competency in the knowledge of the RIS/HIS modules appropriate to their job responsibilities.

Maintains responsibility for own professional development through active participation in in-services and/or continuing education programs.

Provides educational information to the patient regarding their examination.

Knowledgeable regarding patient condition, history and appropriate background and information pertinent to proposed examination.

Properly identifies and performs diagnostic radiographic services on patients with the maximum amount of care, while evaluating the technical quality.

Assumes responsibility for assigned area, making sure all equipment and supplies necessary for that area are readily available for use.

Current computer troubleshooting and networking knowledge and proven ability to repair and resolve problems with complex medical technology.

Proficient knowledge in radiation safety, high voltage hazards and mechanical structures typically found in the repair/maintenance of radiology equipment.

Demonstrated ability to work independently when servicing biomedical equipment and to address issues with analytical reasoning and problem solving skills.

Demonstrated ability to develop educational materials and teach, coach and deal with others effectively in a supportive and positive manner.

Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.

Ability to operate related test equipment and tools.

Great written and verbal communication skills, in English

Paid training by experienced instructors (no experience required!)

Must have your own vehicle and a valid Class 5 driver’s license

Available to work on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Must live in Calgary, Alberta or in the surrounding areas

Daily personal care (bathing, toileting, dressing)
