Risk Management certification or equivalent experience

Knowledge of quality & patient safety management concepts and experience in applying them in the healthcare sector

Strong change management skills; able to focus priorities and drive for positive change; encourages and holds themselves and others accountable

Support the Provincial Directors in the management of the operational work plans for quality, risk, safety, and program planning and standardization

Manage the opportunities to proactively identify areas requiring planning and standardization that will advance a leading practice patient safety culture

Excellent knowledge and understanding of the healthcare system, including Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care mandated services through HCCSS

Five (5) years of progressive administrative experience at the senior management level in a health care organization.

Reports risks with causes, impacts or mitigations beyond scope of responsibility to management.

Knowledge of standard office administrative practices and procedures.

Accurate keyboarding skills at a minimum of 45 wpm.

Excellent communication (verbal, written & listening) skills.

Demonstrated organization, record keeping, problem solving and decision-making skills.
