Manager of Quality and Professional Practice - Permanent, Full-Time – Barrie, ON

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND RELATED TASKS:

• Manage projects and project teams.

• Minimum of 3-5 years recent experience in leading/facilitating QI/PI improvement initiatives (design, implementation and/or evaluation stages).

• Experiences in key performance indicators analysis, monitoring and reporting.

• Experience in not-for-profit and/or community-based organizations an asset.

Greenhouse gas quantification and management;

Have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering or Energy Management, or Sciences;

0-5 years of experience in environmental consulting, in particular air quality, greenhouse gas, decarbonization and sustainability fields;

Strong interpersonal skills, and excellent communication skills written and verbal;

Meteorological model preparation and dispersion modelling;

Assisting on multi-disciplinary projects with data analysis and reporting;

Working with intermediate and senior staff in all aspects of project work including documentation review, Greenhouse Gas emission calculations and reporting

Review, understand, and interpret provincial and federal acts and regulations

Data compilation interpretation and evaluation against relevant regulations

Assisting with GHG emission calculations

Perform field work including emission measurement and ambient air monitoring

Assisting with air quality monitoring and emissions reports

Consulting with and answering technical questions from colleagues, project managers, and clients.

10+ years of experience in air quality

Several years’ experience with developing emission inventories and running dispersion models under Alberta or British Columbia regulatory systems

Deep knowledge of air quality dispersion models (including AERMOD and CALPUFF)

Experience in developing emission inventories for a wide range of industries (particularly oil and gas, mining, and pulp and paper)

Thorough knowledge of computers using a variety of engineering analysis tools and word-processing software

You have strong leadership, problem solving, flexibility and project management skills

Evaluate suppliers conformity to manufacturing processes (special processes) requirements

You have excellent communication skills (written and spoken) both in French and English

You have experience with supplier interventions

You have excellent knowledge of Nadcap, AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality standards

Knowledge of SAP software is an asset

You have knowledge and experience of Aircraft structural substantiation analysis: Static, Fatigue/Durability, and Damage Tolerance;

You are an energetic person with good communication skills, who are willing to accept responsibilities in a multidisciplinary team working environment;

Prepare the official stress reports in English for certification purposes;

You have between 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry (preferably with an OEM);

You possess Material Review Board (MRB) work experience (preferred candidate);

You have experience using Patran/Nastran, Nasgro, and Catia V5;

At least seven (7) years of experience;

Excellent skills at calculating air emissions and preparing contaminant and GHG inventories;

Good knowledge of the laws, regulations and policies related to air quality and emissions.

Recognized for your analysis, synthesis and writing skills;

Able to manage several projects and cases simultaneously;

A leader with interpersonal and teamwork skills in dynamic environments.

Post-secondary education with a degree in science, engineering, or related studies
