Overview The Project Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the financial aspects of projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. They are also responsible for ensuring that all project costs are accurately tracked and reported. Detailed Job Description The Project Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the financial aspects of projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. They will develop and maintain project budgets, track project costs, and analyze project performance. The Project Accounting Manager will also ensure that all project costs are accurately tracked and reported. They will work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that project costs are managed effectively and that project performance is monitored and reported accurately. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Ability to analyze financial data and develop reports
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of project management software
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance
• CPA or CMA certification preferred
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Knowledge of project management principles and practices
• Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques
Job Experience
• Experience in project accounting
• Experience in financial analysis
• Experience in developing and managing budgets
Job Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain project budgets
• Track project costs and analyze project performance
• Prepare and analyze financial reports
• Ensure that all project costs are accurately tracked and reported
• Monitor project performance and report on variances
• Work with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that project costs are managed effectively
• Prepare and submit project invoices
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
