Experience with computer systems (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and educational technologies (e.g., D2L) is preferred

Creating and maintaining a positive learning environment that supports the diversity of students’ cultures, educational backgrounds and learning styles

Fulfilling responsibilities as defined in the Academic Employees Collective Agreement

Five years of industry experience is required with three years minimum of experience in a senior leadership role required

Minimum one year of adult or post-secondary teaching experience required

Experience with curriculum development is an asset

Full-time Professor – International Business Management Programs

Effectively using educational technologies to support learning, manage and post grades, and deliver hybrid and on-line courses;

Demonstrated use of current technologies to support student learning and the management of grades.

The responsibilities of Durham College Professors include, but are not limited to:

Utilizing principles of adult education to actively engage students in the learning process;

The ideal candidate will meet or exceed the following qualifications:

Incorporating educational technologies to meet the learning needs of students

Minimum 5 years of practical experience in the field of Nursing

Minimum 2 years of teaching experience or equivalent preferably in the college setting

Experience working with international students is an asset

Current BCLS certification, immunizations, and mask fit

Evidence of having maintained up-to-date knowledge and achievements in the field appropriate to the area of instruction.
